Rosacea

Rosacea is a long-term skin condition that typically affects the face. It results in redness, pimples, swelling, and small and superficial dilated blood vessels. Often, the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin are most involved. The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it could be due to a combination of hereditary and environmental factors. Rosacea is not contagious.
Everyone who has rosacea should apply a gentle, broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day. Just a few minutes of sunlight on rosacea-prone skin can lead to uncontrollable flushing and redness.
