Common Cold

The common cold is a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract but it mainly affects the nose. Symptoms of the common cold often appear within a few days of being exposed to the virus.

Please practice social distancing as the common cold is highly contagious. The common cold is transmitted airborne through the droplets of an infected person's cough or sneeze.

  • Antibiotics are of no use against cold viruses and shouldn't be used unless there's a bacterial infection. Treatment for a common cold is directed at relieving signs and symptoms: 1-Pain relievers. 2-Decongestant nasal sprays. 3-Cough syrups. 4-Drinking plenty of fluids. 5-Resting. 6-Staying warm.
