Boil water, add beet slices and cook them until tender, Drain the beets, Puree the cooked beets in a blender until smooth, Add water if required.

Put the beet in a pan containing boiling water and cover.Steam the beets until tender and place the both in a bowl and mash. Add spices if desired.
