Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the degeneration of the joints in which the protective cartilage that makes up the joints wears down with time. It is the most common form of arthritis. Although osteoarthritis can damage any joint, the disorder most commonly affects joints in your hands, knees, hips, and spine.

OA is typically treated with lifestyle changes, exercise, NSAIDs to reduce inflammation and pain, and surgery as a last option.
