My son is beginning to say a few words. On his own time and usually only says each word once, HOWEVER, we’re all about celebrating the small victories and could be prouder of our little man.

•He’s doing an amazing job of completing puzzles, interacting during story time, copying sounds and matching colors which is a HUGE improvement from where he was a couple months ago. Again, we’re so proud.

Things we’re doing differently:
1. We’ve cut gluten and dairy out of his diet and he’s on an all (or almost all) organic diet. This alone made a big improvement in his social interaction.
2. We’ve incorporated a new vitamin regimen that consists of zinc, vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium, B12 and probiotics. This has helped with his focus.
3. I had his hair tested for high metal levels and the test came back high in quite a few metals. This was alarming at first but now we’re going to begin a metal chelation protocol that gently but effectively removes the metals. I’ll keep you all posted on how it goes and I plan on documenting everything.

I have to be honest, this is one of the most difficult tests I’ve had in motherhood. I’m staying strong for my little guy but there are still many times that I find myself in tears.
